¿Y él no tenía una parte espiritual?, preguntarán algunos de ustedes.

Claro que sí la tenía, mejor dicho, aún la tiene y todos los seres humanos la tenemos, ella nunca muere, nunca desaparece, como más adelante veremos.

Does the phrase just mean "soul"? Or is there a translation of it that might be more accurate? This is a book about the afterlife.
