Carlos Pablo MIGUES-LABANCA, B.A. (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

English > Spanish

Subject:

General

Level of diffculty:

Difficult / demanding

Word or term in question:

SPARE FRAME

Context:

A violent apoplexy, perhaps?

The question was a pure formality. A useful fiction, no doubt, but nothing less apoplectic than Giorgio’s SPARE FRAME and measured manner could be imagined, and he had by all accounts been quietly relaxed on the morning of his death.

Literary piece of writing.- An explanation of the meaning would be greatly appreciated, not necessarily a translation, which would also be most welcome. Many thanks in advance.

Keywords:

I don´t get what it´s meant: is it physical or psychological ? Is it "frame of mind" ??

The answer of   See profile was rated best

Su silueta espigada

My comment:

Frame se refiere a su corpulencia. Spare quiere decir que es delgado o espigado.
