Production well

My comment:

You can also used "pumping well" if you are NOT producing water but moving it.
By the way Altura (height) is wrong, because anything down is depth and only if you are moving the water up to a water tower it would be height.

Not all production wells are pumping wells, some have enough pressure naturally, such as artesian wells for example.

To Mr. Frapper: I hold a degree in Petroleum Engineering. What are your credentials? I think you did not read the whole question. A lesson in geology: If you have pressure, you do not need to pump... They flow by themselves!

That is the point, they may flow by themselves and STILL be production wells.
