Barbara Cochran (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

Spanish > English

Subject:

General

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

aires de reina

Context:

-Ahora sí, después de esto, tus aires de reina van a terminar.

This is the husband of a nice, intelligent, and ethical young woman, after they're back at their hotel, who is talking to his drugged wife, after he slipped an overdose of pills into everything she was eating and drinking when she went to the ladies' room at a restaurant.

The answer of   See profile was rated best

high horse

My comment:

I'd not translate it literally (queenly airs), but something like: "Now I'm going to knock you off your high horse" or now "I'm going to take you down a peg, your Majesty" (in a sarcastic tone) or something to this effect.
