My comment:

other answerers can sound so sure that this is human food being tested! From where, exactly, in the small amount of context given, does this idea come - all it says is 'aliments' - a fairly broad term. It would be a total waste of time testing most human food on dogs - I can tell you as a dog owner that most dogs don't turn their noses up at much that was meant for humans. Now dog food, that's another matter! Surely from your context you must know what these 'aliments' are!

of course the food was dog food - people seemed to be confused by my comment about "too human" which referred to the act of "approval" and not the food. i eventually translated the phrase as "the food has been developed and tested successfully in dog and puppy feeding trials undertaken in collaboration with a vast network of partner breeders"
