Word or term in question:

Significance of "schon" in Sch

Context:

handling equipment

Keywords:

handling equipment

The answer of   See profile was rated best

care

My comment:

I would assume it comes from "schonen" meaning in this case to treat gently, care for, look after, etc. It is however difficult to be certain as I wouldn't know what a "Bogensauger" is. Do you mean "Bodensauger"?

The asker's comment:

It's Bogensauger, handling equipment, so suction device for handing sheet material. Many thanks, Bob W.
