Context:

...intervenir dans tout acte de transport, de délégation ou d'indication de paiement, l'accepter et le tenir pour signifié.

This is in the "Prêts et Garanties" section of a power of attorney (issued and executed in Quebec). (I'm wondering if signifié really should be signification?)

My comment:

"signifier" , from a legal standpoint means that the person has been duly informed (usually by a bailiff who has drawn up a writ) about the contents of what he has signed up and its legal consequences.
