My comment:

No, although the air is probably "aufbereitet" (i.e. filtered, warmed/cooled, humidified/ dehumidified) the point here is that the supplied air makes up for the extracted air. Since the system operates in a hazardous environment there is no recirculation of extracted air as would otherwise be normal. Therefore 100% fresh (or outside) air supply.
