My comment:

I think it might be worth considering the context more carefully. In finance documents, an agreement, eg an agreement for the sale or purchase of shares, will be called a contrat.

Agrément is not used for an agreement itself, but for acceptance of or consent to the agreement. Lettre d'agrément would be the consent letter which forms part of the documents of an agreement. It can also refer to the bond in a guarantee agreement.
