mnenic traces

My comment:

The psychologists seem to prefer mnemenic or mnenic, though some will use mnesic or mnestic, and they all have the same definition: related to memory. In lay parlance, Jennifer is right, memory is the word overwhelmly used, just as “mémoire” would be used in French, but this is a highly technical or even pompous text, and should probably be translated by a likewise specialized term, I’ d go with mnenic. The definition of mnemonic is: Relating to assisting, or intended to assist the memory, somewhat more narrow and not what this context suggests.

"mnemonic" is synonymous with memory. Also on Google the translation is very limited, as it is operated by a machine translation software.
