'recette' in the sense of 'this file has been received' The context is presumably compression software, like Aladdin Stuffit, etc. Nothing to do with pills or tablets !!

Hmm, didn't realise we were talking about metal... you do still speak of "recipes" if you're talking about different types of steel, for instance, with different additives and amounts thereof.
