TAB in French is an abbreviation for “tableau”, and the word “tablets” seems to be used only in texts badly translated from English. The word for tablet in French is “comprimé” or “pillule”. Since you give
the context in English, it is impossible to figure out what you are trying to translate, unless you meant English to French.

I totally agree with you. Other forms of oral medication are time-released capsules, gelcaps, etc. but tab is always tablets.
