by intramuscular injection or by mouth

My comment:

The first is an injection and the second "per os" means any form that can be taken by mouth- pill, liquid, etc.

Barbara, let me clarify my answer. "Per os" is latin and in medical terminology, it means "by mouth" but if you wish you can put "oral administration", but "by mouth" is the correct term.
