The term "Lasterhaftigkeit" ONLY refers to the behaviour or character of a person. There is no technical or engineering background this term could sensibly be used for.

The context of Tech/engineering makes me wonder if it's a typo for "Lastigkeit" - acc. to Ernst either "trim" or used for carrying capacity of ships >"burden"

On the same lines I had the wild idea that we may be dealing with some weird tech/engineering re-translation involving VICE, i.e. optionally Lasterhaftigkeit or Schraubstock.
