Firoz: Victorious, Faroukh: Happy, Fortunate, Farouq: One who distinguishes truth from falsehood

My comment:

Farouq is an Arabic name, but I suspected that the other two were Farsi, so I checked. They are Persian and I've put down their meanings as well as given the site where I found them, I also added the URL for the Arabic names site for you. Happy hunting!

Fairouz: (Turquoise) is a gem known with its blue or near green colour (Precious), Faroouq: he who distinguishes truth from falsehood (epithet of the 2nd Caliph, Omar), Faroukh: no such name known as far as I know.

My comment:

Concerning the Faroukh name: I looked the origin of the word in the "Dictionary of Modern Written Arabic" and found no such name as "Faroukh", but the origin of the word is "Farkh" which means: young bird, shoot, or spout (of a plant, of a tree).
