My comment:

As rivers are countable units, I would go with the above rather than translating 'partie' with 'part'.

Hi Barbara, here is a first shot:
Europe features a network of rivers, a notable length of which is navigable, such as the Elbe, the Seine..
You could say "notable part" instead.
