an excess of professional pick-up artists

My comment:

The verb draguer means to pick someone up, in the sense of flirting with him/her.

The expression de surcroît means additional or excess.

I really do not think that dragueur refers to a minesweeper, so that is why I think it refers to a ladies man or pick-up artist. Or, if you think this can refer to both men and women, you could just say professional flirts.
