My comment:
The French is slightly incorrect. It should read "...elle n'est pas belle la vie" or "...n'est elle pas belle la vie" sounds nicer. The point is the negation requires the word "ne". Although in common spoken French vernacular "ne" is omitted, it is technically wrong.
