"Claustra" is the general French term for trellis, or a fence with slats versus a solid fence. There really is no direct translation of "trellis" into German. The actual term would be "Spalier", but this connotes a structure designed to support plants (i.e. a creeping vine or grape vine support structure), and not a trellis in the sense of a privacy fence or wall.

"Claustra" ist die französische Worte für Gitter, die Mann durch sehen konnen. Auf Deutsch gibt es keine genuar ubersetzung der Worte "trellis" -- am nahesten ist "das Spalier", aber Spalier ist am meistens as pflanzhelfe benutzt, nicht als Trennwande.
