It is the period during which a cancellation of the reservation leads to the loss of the deposit.
"Préavis" is a slightly different concept, it is the period before which the deposit is lost in case of cancellation, but it is the term used to described the same condition.
You may have to rephrase somewhat to express the idea.

More context is alsways preferable, If I’d know waht it's about, my translation would be more precise/ accurate. Thanks for your understanding !
