My comment:

"Reversal animals" is the term for animals used in experiments (see: http://www.tri-citieshorsemen.org/news/tcha808.pdf). You have a control group, a reversal and a non-reversed one. But it is still a treatment group.

Hi Eric. I have some experience in animal expereimentation. My background is in Veterinary Medicine, but I do not know what they could mean by reversal animals. Do you think you could give me some more context on the use of reversal animals in the text? Sorry for not being able to help you more at this point.
