You will have to mention the subjects. I would still use the word "Grammar School" or just "Gymnasium," since everyone in education knows this expression.

acquired at a secondary school. Gymnasium sollte man generell mit secondary school �bersetzen, und dann die einzelnen Zweige benennen (math-naturw. oder neusprachlich) denn die klassische Grammar School ist eigentlich ein humanistisches Gymnasium.
