My comment:

Correct but not "polite" enough to be used but in tough modern sturctures. In my opinion in Engl. there is no difference (fachlich or disz.): The boss is the boss. And my boss is the person I am reporting to. He/she is responsible for me and my work and could even fire me at the end of the day.
