Financial Crash

My comment:

It depends on the asset classes affected by the crash. The usual terminology is "stock market crash" but when the entire financial markets are affected such as the global deleveraging period that took place in 2008 when stocks, bonds and commodities such as Gold usually acting as a buffer against stock markets uncertainty all went down heavily, "financial crash" is more appropriate.

My references:

My boyfriend is Head of Investment Strategy in a private bank.

The correct spelling in French is krach, but they don't teach spelling anymore!
