The wool net can be deformed by pulling along an edge up to 10% of the relevant length without wrinkling (or permanent deformation?).

Hier scheint es um "shear strength" von Erde zu gehen; ich gehe davon aus, dass es bei Dir um Bodenmatten zur Begruenung von Grenzkohlepfeilern etc. (siehe auch frueheres Posting) geht, daher koennte es im Kontext von Boden/Erde vielleicht passen.
Eventuell auch "shear stress" oder "shear limit"
