My comment:

It is not really freezing, it's just slowing down the trigger rate in order to stabilize the wave, i.e you don't get a lot of the noise. Seems to be used as is in French texts.
If you must: Le bouton HOLD OFF permet d'introduire un délai par rapport au moment de déclenchement.
