TP is definitely Travaux Pratiques in a French academic context, but the translation will depend on the context - if it were scientific it could be "lab work" for example; here something more specifically culinary might be better

That's what I came up with too when I first read the question, and I'd translate it as "practical work" as has been suggested or "internship."
