Language pair:

English > French

Subject:

Technical / Engineering

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

clam shell hinge

Context:

I'm upgrading from stock hinged clam shell speaker housings in the rear to premium fixed clam shell housings. Obviously as they aren't needed anymore, I want to remove the hinging hardware from the car to accompany the old stock shells when I go to sell them on. How do I do this? Is it best done from above by removing the rear seats and the parcel shelf board itself, or is done from underneath inside the boot by removing that black trim panel underneath the metal parcel shelf panel above the boot lid torsion bar springs?............

merci,

sarlata
