Kate (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

French > English

Subject:

Business / Marketing / Financial

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

le cours comptable

Context:

Keywords:

I thought of "accounting rate", but then there is also the term "taux comptable" in the same clauses...the "accounting price", maybe? thx

currency translation rate

My comment:

"cours" and "taux" are synonymous in this context
The "currency translation rate" is the one used to account for the rate over a given reporting period (usually a weighted average), the "exchange rate" is the rate used for any given transaction.
