"Scanni liceali" are actually "high-school benches. Here it is however intended ironically.

"Scanni" è un termine poetico per "banchi". Servirebbe un po' più di contesto per capire se è una scena in cui le persone non si alzano fisicamente dai banchi di un liceo (high school desks) o se è solo un modo forbito per dire "studenti liceali", senza banchi di mezzo (those from high school).
