I can understand that A means Excellent but what does P signifies?

Since this specific university grades from 0-10 - it seems that there has been a conversion to letters (A-G grading) thus the only explanation for the letter 'P' is a pass for the final paper

My comment:

Not so sure that A = excellent. It actually could be "Aprovado" (= passed), and P could be "Pendente" (= pending).
Now, would it be pending submission or pending assessment?
I don't think you have enough information for a sensible guess.
