Così parla della battaglia del maggio '17 nella lettera del 18/5/'17: "Volo di continuo nelle mie crociere sulla battaglia lo spettacolo è impressionante, nel giorno nubi di giallo cupo si alzavano fino a 2.000 metri, le colline bersagliate sono coperte di proiettili scoppianti..."

I forgot: I don't know why the author uses crociera in the plural. Perhaps he has one speed for low altitude and another one for high altitude. So the last suggestion is: I keep flying at my (own) cruise speeds.
