Context:

Dans ce métier-là (boxing), quand tu n'es pas assez actif, il te manque de rythme pour attaquer. Kovalev était plus incisif, en combinaison. Il se faisiat frapper, mais il avançait.

Funny sentence pattern : en combinaison makes me think of a woman just out of bed!(Is the boxer gay? I hate watching boxing matches, but they usually speak of "enchaînements" (de coups) in French.
