I agree with Heike's comment: however, beautiful, fantastic, extraordinary are too weak not slang expressions in my opinion. I don't think that "Rat hot" would be understandable for the reader :)

My comment:

It's all of this but none of it in particular which could be used as a translation. It's youth's slang ...

"scharf" = hot
"red hot" comes very near ...
So why not create a new word by converting "red hot" into "rat hot"?
