My comment:

to suffer a stroke: 2 meanings possible:
1- having a misfortune or badluck (sfortuna, sventura, mala sorte)
2- medical: stroke: a sudden disablingattack caused by the interruption in the flow of blood to the brain, specially through thrombosis or ictus

ictus, colpo apoplettico, colpo

My comment:

are you sure it's technical? maybe with a little more contex, it would be clearer, but as such it seems medical to me
