Creo que la idea de "blockbuster" est� bien, pero creo que la estructura de la frase no es muy inglesa.
Creo que con la expresi�n de "hot cakes" se recoge la misma idea que en espa�ol. Adem�s el sujeto de la oraci�n tiene que ser el libro y no el autor (en internet se ve muy bien el uso). Espero que te aclare o te sirva de algo.
