Context:

En apoyo de esto, además de la relación de hermanos con Manuel, existía un aprecio especial debido a su diferencia de edades (alrededor de veinticinco años) y a que habían sido socios en varios negocios, entre otros la franquicia Alfredo's Pizza, la cual, dicho sea de paso, no funcionó.

"Dicho sea de paso" in this case means "por cierto" or "incidentally".
