Carola (from the masculine Carolus) or Carolina?

My comment:

There are no translations for any English or other nationality surnames. As to the first name, such names as John, Peter, Paul, Mark, Luke, Matthew (apostles) of course do have their latin equivalent. Carola derives from Charles (Carolus), so we can infer a translation for Caroline only (Carola). I am not sure the diminutive Carolina is a possible latin name.
