My comment:

It will be more difficult to translate "notaire", as this profession doesn't exist in Anglo-saxon languages.
I'd use Attorney (US) or Sollicitor (UK)

We do have Notaries in fact, both in the U.S. and the U.K. - most law firms have one partner at least who is sworn in as a Notary Public - but they are less visible than in France where real property has to be transacted in front of a Notaire. I think 'Notary' would be fine. SF P.S. Solicitor with one 's' for the U.K.
