Although I'm not sure of the era/time setting of the passage, it seems to refer to the Middle ages, where it was common practice to seat the knights at long shared tables, where they could converse (much like the long countertops of today's bars).

Corrido has nothing to do with bullfighting here: it is an adjective meaning long. I think it must mean the sort of narrow and long table along the bar.
