there may be a technical term in English, but i don't know it --- you might find it in a work on hydrology.
You don't need Conges for words like this. Go straight to the Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy on-line (Google "RAE") --- it's free. --- And the accent's on the first "a", not the "e".
