Order(ing) and recall(ing) of the auditor on investment law

My comment:

It is always inevitable to see as much from the entire context as possible or, if not available, see at least the given sentence as a whole.

The original tells a clue to this one: a "Revisionsstelle" is just anybody who is/are appointed for legal matters, here in investment. This is not that much of an institution as it may appear, rather it may just as well be dismissed on occasion, so I guess this will rule some of the answers out ...

in accordance with investment legislation

My comment:

These are bodies appointed as laid down not investment law OR investment legislation, so the "in accordance with", although not stated in German, must be included, IMO.

Absolutely not - t'other way around, basically. It's not that the investment is statutory, but that there are statutes governing it.

Jason, your last comment makes the most sense, yet I think "statutory" says too little: what is meant here is not only s.o. 'in accordance with inv. law', but s.o. actually representing it!

My comment:

It's ... rechtlich, NOT Recht, hence it's the adjective, not the noun. This office is not responsible for passing laws.

PS. This grammatical construction (...rechtlich, which is similar to ...technisch in engineering contexts) has no exact equivalent in English. You have to reword it.

I don't mean responsible for passing laws - it's auditors specialising in investment laws, so your could say - Investment law audit office - instead.
