"Dancar ao som da mesma musica"
Nao conheco esta expressao idiomatica, mas se existe esta certo.
Andar a toque de caixa e' andar depressa com o que se tem a fazer, sob pressao.

Acho que vou mesmo optar por esta expressão a qual já tinha sido sugerida por mim (sim, ela existe).
A sua 2ª sugestão também me pareceu adequada, mas embora o contexto seja da área financeira o facto "de ser manipulado" é forte demais...
"Andar a toque de caixa de alguém" como referi, é precisamente estar submetido às ordens de alguém e fazer o que lhe mandam. Obrigada pelas suas sugestões e as dos outros colegas que me pareceram adequadas também!
