Significa que cumple con los requisitos de seguridad, ambientales y de calidad de un producto. Este sello se usa en la comunidad europea y es lo mismo que el UL (underwirter laboratory) que se usa en los Estados Unidos con el mismo propósito: certificar la calidad del producto.
