marry (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

English > Italian

Subject:

General

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

will you marry me ?

Context:

If the girl ask to the boy.

Mi vuoi sposare?

My comment:

In my translation there is a shadow of intentional decision, and this is the most common way to ask about marriage in Italian .
If in the context there is the idea that is not a real (love) intention, but just a vague desire or part of a larger plan (such as to marry someone in order to get the citizenship...) the question could be translated: "Mi sposerai?"
