Kate (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

French > English

Subject:

Business / Marketing / Financial

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

doublage / triplage

Context:

Régimes horaires particuliers (Situation au 31 décembre): Doublage / Triplage / Nuit / Fin de semaine

Keywords:

These are headings in a chart. Do these mean something like "double time" and "triple time"?

The answer of   See profile was rated best

two shift, three shift work pattern/ two shifts, three shifts

My comment:

Doublage does not mean work twice as much but alternate morning and afternoon shift work. Triplage means alterning morning, afternoon and night shift work.
