My comment:

beneficial owner me suena a "Equity" esa parte del Derecho anglosajón que divide la propiedad en "legal interests" and "equitable interests".

"as then under the Security Exchange Law" me suena a un reglamento (by-law) que estaba administrado por la ley of Security Exchange... corrígeme si estoy metiendo la pata... es que las Acts que son leyes promulgadas por el Poder Legislativo suelen otorgar al Ejecutivo (ministros, etc) el poder para promulgar leyes menores (regulations and by-laws) - la ley principal u orgánica (the Act) suele llamarse "enabling Act".

Si alguien ve que estoy errando, por favor hágamelo saber.
