We have no meaningful direct translation of "home sweet home" but the answer supplied is an old Irish saying to the effect "There is no hearth (fireplace) like your own hearth". I think that catches the sentiment of the English saying. It is pronounced roughly "kneel ayn teentawn mar do heentawn fane". If you wish I can send you a copy of it in old Irish script if you intend making a sign of it. You will find my contact co-ordinates on this site (and a few others!).
