Sending her a wave of mental heat

My comment:

From the explanation it appears its an overt sexual advance. He's not been subtle about it.

My comment:

"He leaned toward her causing her to feel an inner wave of mental warmth so she could feel what he was talking about."

My references:

ola de calor = heat wave

I understand it as: he tries to make her feel mentally what should be felt physically. So, "causing her to feel".

I wouldn't translate "mental" by "psychological", all the more that "psicológico" exists in Spanish, so the author would have written "una oleada de calor psicológico".

I.e., she feels hot, through a mental process, and not through a physical process.

It is "mental" as opposed to "physical", I believe - at least the process used to make her feel.

sending her a surge of psychological warmth

My comment:

Lots of ways of saying this; he leaned towards her filling her with psychological warmth so that she could sense what he was saying to her OR psychologically sensually endorsing her encapacitating her to understand why he was trying to say to her OR sending her a surge of psychological warmth so that she could understand what he was saying to her
