My comment:

Context:The report card benefits students, teachers, and parents/guardians. It allows students to be more aware of what is expected of them. It gives teachers across the district a better understanding of what each child should know and be able to do at each grade level. It provides parents with a more detailed outline of the expectations in each of the major academic areas (English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science & Technology Engineering, History & Social Science) as well as the Arts, Health Wellness, Music, Social Responsibilities and Work Habits

arts puede traducirse como "arte" pero en este constexto se refiere a "literato" o "habilidad". En mi opini—n es correcto tambiŽn traducirlo solo como "Lengua Espa–ola"

Otra opción. Tuve que traducir hace unos dias un certificado analítico donde aparecía esta materia y esta fue la sugerencia que me dieron otros colegas.
